Nigerian music executive and talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has denied allegations circulating online that he stole a luxury wristwatch during Afrobeats star Davido’s lavish wedding in Miami, USA.

Reports on social media had claimed that Franklin was caught on camera allegedly taking the watch during the high-profile celebration, which was attended by several celebrities and dignitaries.

Responding via his Instagram account on Wednesday, Franklin described the allegations as baseless and malicious, stating that they were attempts to tarnish his image.

“I am not a thief and I have never stolen anything in my life. These lies are damaging and hurtful. I attended the wedding to celebrate my friend, and I left with my dignity intact,” he wrote.

The talent manager, who has been a close associate of Davido for years, also warned against the spread of false information, urging the public to verify facts before sharing unconfirmed reports.

Davido’s Miami wedding, which took place last month, was one of the most talked-about events in the Nigerian entertainment scene, featuring luxury displays, star-studded performances, and global media coverage.

While Franklin has threatened legal action against those spreading the rumours, no official complaint or police report has been linked to the alleged incident as of the time of filing this report.
