In a remarkable celebration of faith and service, High Chief Sir Chibuzor Ernest Enwereuzor JP, also known as Ogbaturuenyi Mbaise, was honored at the 2025 Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Mbaise with a prestigious Stewardship Award. The event, held at Okpofe in Ezinihitte Mbaise, recognized his outstanding contributions to both the Church and the wider community.
The Moderator of the service was Rev. Canon Nwaekwe who flew in from Belgium for the Synod.
High Chief Enwereuzor, Chairman and CEO of Chris Ernest Nig Ltd and Benestar Suites, has long been admired for his philanthropic leadership and unwavering commitment to service. As he accepted the award, the distinguished businessman and community leader expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Bishop of Mbaise Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Chamberlain Ogunedo JP, and the entire Diocese.
“I am truly humbled by this honor,” Enwereuzor said during his speech. “To serve God and my community is a privilege, and I am grateful for this recognition of that journey.”
Widely respected across Mbaise and beyond, Ogbaturuenyi Mbaise has become a symbol of compassion, resilience, and servant leadership. His work has positively impacted countless lives, earning him a reputation as a role model and pillar of strength in both religious and civic circles.
The Synod, themed “Courage Brother, Do Not Stumble” (Romans 1:9), emphasized the importance of steadfast service and faithfulness. The preacher urged the faithful to remain diligent in their commitment to God, noting that divine reward follows unwavering dedication.
The Diocese lauded High Chief Enwereuzor for his generous spirit and selfless devotion, describing his recognition as “a fitting tribute to a man whose life reflects the virtues of humility, service, and faith.”
The ceremony ended with warm congratulations from dignitaries, clergy, and community members, celebrating an icon whose legacy of giving continues to shine brightly.
