A tragic incident unfolded in the heart of Lekki, Lagos, where a young woman, Cynthia Chizoba Oguzie, was taken from this world in the most unexpected and horrific way. As she peacefully rested in her bedroom, two water tanks crashed through the roof, ending her life on her bed. The 30-year-old, known affectionately as Zoba, was killed in her sleep, leaving behind a family shattered by the sudden loss.
Her brother, Chukwuebuka Kanayochukwu, took to Facebook to express his grief and frustration. He wrote:
“Beware of Lekki’s buildings and their precarious water stands. This is how my sister was sent to an untimely grave.
Thank you, so-called Lekki landlords, and your engineers for constructing such faulty water tanks.
The landlord claims he’s not in Nigeria, and that the engineer built these houses and only sent him photos and videos. This is how the story ends…”
