The Katsina State Government has announced the passing of Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari, mother of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
A statement signed by the governor’s chief press secretary, Kaula Mohammed, and released to newsmen on Sunday confirmed that Hajiya Safara’u died peacefully on Saturday night at the age of 93.
The statement described her as more than just the governor’s mother, noting that she nurtured generations of leaders and community influencers.
Her children include Alhaji Kabir Umar Radda, the current Village Head of Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda, the former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
