The Peter Obi Media Office (POMR) has once again condemned what it describes as malicious attacks against its principal, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections. POMR accuses these detractors of persistently distorting facts and spreading false narratives to tarnish Obi’s reputation.

Ibrahim Umar, POMR Spokesman in a statement said these adversaries frequently fabricate stories linking Obi to various controversies, from imaginary arrests to unfounded claims of sponsoring violence. The latest of these claims involves an alleged association between Obi and U.S. Republican candidate Donald Trump, an attempt POMR dismisses as an absurd comparison aimed at gaining favor with the Democrats.

POMR argues that such comparisons not only fail to hold water but also underscore the current administration’s shortcomings. They assert that these efforts to discredit Obi reflect a broader inability to address the nation’s issues and effectively communicate policies.

The statement also criticizes the current administration for its lack of media engagement and accountability, contrasting it with Obi’s visibility and commitment. POMR calls on Nigerians to disregard these misleading attacks and remain focused on their vision for a better Nigeria.

Ibrahim Umar, POMR Spokesman, urges supporters to stay resilient and united in their quest for positive change.
