There is massive discontent within the Edo state police command over the seemingly biased stance of the police commissioner.
Indigenes of Edo state are worried at the massive arrest of PDP chieftains less than two weeks to the governorship election next Saturday.
They are accusing the CP of plans to rig the election in favour of APC.
Some of the Policemen said they are citizens of the state and are expecting the police to be seen by all as neutral.
Some of them said the commissioner of police should clear his name over his relationship with a minister in Abuja who is out to cause confusion in Edo state.
“We are after a free and fair elections where the best candidate adjudge by the electorate will be declared the winner. We don’t want incompetent governor to pilot Edo affairs.”
