For the first time in the political history of FCT, the Bola Tinubu administration has broken the ice by involving more residents and indigenes of Abuja in governance of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
And this is not going unnoticed as an aspirant for chairmanship of Bwari Area Council, Haruna Shekwolo Audi has sent a letter of appreciation to both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike for this inclusivity of Abuja natives and residents in the governance.
Shekwolo said for the first time in the history of government at the national level, Tinubu has changed the narrative by having indigines and residents in key positions in the FCTA .
He said the inclusive approach has brought hope and joy to many indigenous tribes and residents of FCT.
He specifically noted the appointment of the Mandate Secretary on Youth and also the
Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, representing FCT as some of the inclusivity not forgetting the Minister of Special Duties at the cabinet level.
To him, the acknowledgement of the contributions and dedication of APC members in FCT, who worked tirelessly for President Bola Tinubu vision, and being in government is commendable.
Like Oliver Twist, the chairmanship aspirant was of the view that more slots should still be given to Abuja people. The natives and residents are eagerly anticipating more opportunities to serve and contribute to FCT development, that was his submission.
“We believe that there are many more deserving APC members in FCT who can bring value and excellence to various positions.”
Who then is Shekwolo in Abuja politics; he is a young, unassuming promising leader. He was the immediate past Board Chairman of FCT Area Council Service Commission, Area 3, Garki

His strength of character and no-nonsense reputation for getting results has made this passionate political cion from Ushafa, Bwari Area Council BAC of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT to prove that success is no respecter of age but favours hard work, tenacity and purpose.
Shekwolo has shown that leaders are born and not made. Today, he is shaking hands with destiny with him leaving a remarkable landmark. He has slowly but steadily climbed the ladder of success leaving a trail of a remarkable achievements on his trail.
Success is not accidental, neither is it served a la carte; you have to go for it! Either you are a man or woman, young or old, the only thing that separates leaders from others, winners from losers, is their dedication and perseverance in bringing true change into anything they do.
Within the short span in office, Audi Shekwolo who was the 2022 All Peoples Congress, APC Chairmanship candidate for Bwari Area Council. organized numerous impactful workshops for staff from the various six Area Councils.
The results are there, as there is improved service delivery among the staff of the various Area Councils in FCT.
He represents a new age of politicians who are deploying their technocrat expertise in creating innovative policies and taking the responsibility for effecting change in the society.
He is a team player; hence he motivates and encourages the people that passed through his leadership tutelage. He wants success in everything he does.
The coordinator of TINUBU/SHETIMA 2023 election monitoring, sensitization & awareness committee is a workaholic, hence it is not too difficult for him to find a level playing ground for all to be involved in helping him to succeed as a grassroots leader
It appears that even in his stride Audi Shekwolo has already commenced efforts to stamp his feet in history as a man who utilise his office to make a profound difference in the lives of the people.
His workaholic nature and proficiency in accomplishing little tasks has earned him numerous privileges of serving in other political offices with maximum repute to his resume.
These include as Supervisory Councilor [Environmental sanitation BAC] 2016; member state steering committee TINUBU support group, FCT, 2021 and Member finance and fund-rising committee TINUBU/ SHETIMA Grass-root campaign.
Indeed, Shekwolo is a young promising leader in waiting for transformation of the renew agenda of the present administration. History beckons.
