Lagos stood still on Tuesday for the wedding of the century between Afrobeats sensation, David Aseleke, aka Davido and his delectable wife, Chioma Rowlands.
But few hours after the wedding, Netizens have pointed out some red flags that may scorch or totally ruin the marriage.
Remember that shortly after the wedding Davido and Chiom and some friends jetted out of Nigeria to waht has been termed as a honeymoon.
Here are the six red flags, some of them not entirely new.
1. As they were walking to the private jet to board the plane, Davido gave Chioma a distance. He did not wait for her. He entered the plane not liking back or caring whether Chioma was flowing him or not.
One Netizens write: “It’s like they had a beef in the night. He wasn’t smiling at all. They also came to the airport in different cars. Something must have happened in the night after the wedding. Somebody who was vibrant and all smiling during the wedding was suddenly cold and wanted to keep a distance from Chioma the following day. It is pointing out something important.”
2. While in the plane, Davido also kept a distance from Chioma. Another Netizen wrote: “When Chioma came and sat with her and somebody was trying to snap them, Davido covered and lowered his face. He didn’t want to be snapped sitting beside Chioma.
3. While in the plane, Davido was seen at a time lying down on a sofa while Chioma stood on the aisle. Suddenly,Davido stood up and appeared to be answering a female voice. Chioma looked at him haughtily with her arms folded across her chest. A Netizen wrote: “O’l boy, e be like say things don scatter o…u sure say this marriage go last so? See the kind eye Chioma take look am when he stood up. That’s a strong message. Now that they have officially wedded, e go monitor him like monitoring spirit.”
4. There have been persistent rumors and instances suggesting infidelity. A notable incident involved an American stylist, Courtney, who shared a photo of herself with Davido and later claimed she was unaware of his marital status.
Their relationship has seen several private moments becoming public, often leading to misunderstandings and negative publicity. For example, their court wedding was initially kept secret, which led to various speculations and criticisms about the legitimacy and transparency of their union.
6. The couple has a history of breaking up and getting back together, which has caused instability and public scrutiny. They reunited and got engaged after the tragic loss of their son Ifeanyi in 2022, which added emotional stress to their relationship.
