Kylian Mbappe has reportedly sent an official request to Paris Saint-Germain for his overdue wages and bonuses amounting to €100million.
The France captain, who is currently with Les Bleus at Euro 2024, has not been paid by his now-former club since April, according to reports.
Mbappe left PSG earlier this month after finally completing his switch to LaLiga giants Real Madrid, signing on a five-year deal.
But despite the forward leaving Paris and being away for the Euros in Germany, Mbappe has still got part of his attention still on his former club.
According to L’Equipe, Mbappe has put PSG on notice to pay what is owed to him, which represents nearly €100m [£85million].
The outlet reports Mbappe is still owed part of his salary from April and a bonus payment relating to February.
The report states Mbappe offered to give up €55million [£46million] gross in bonuses last summer under certain conditions, but it was not signed officially to a contract and was just an oral agreement.
Mbappe aimed a parting shot at PSG as he ended his six years there, saying ‘they spoke with violence’ when he decided not to stay beyond his contract.
He was exiled from the first-team squad last summer, sitting out the season-opening 0-0 draw with Lorient.
“They made me understand that I wouldn’t play for PSG… they spoke to me with violence,” Mbappe said at the start of Euro 2024.
“Without (PSG head coach) Luis Enrique and (football advisor) Luis Campos I wouldn’t have set foot on the pitch. They saved me. That’s the truth.
Kylian Mbappe surprisingly reveals dream of playing for AC Milan as he closes in on Real Madrid transfer
“Just playing was a great source of pride. But it is certain that next year I will not settle for a year like this.”
The France star was benched for his country’s second Euro 2024 group game against Netherlands, which finished 0-0, following a savage nose injury in their opening 1-0 win over Austria.
Despite winning the World Cup with France in 2018 and netting a hat-trick in the 2022 final, Mbappe is yet to score a goal at the Euros. @Talksports
