The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that its operatives have rescued the three abducted Fouani brothers and two others.
The three Lebanese brothers who work with a Lagos-based company known as Fouani Nigeria Limited were abducted by some gunmen in Lagos.
Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani and Amtal Fouani as well as the unnamed Managing Director were said to have been abducted around 6pm on Friday around the Falomo Bridge while returning in a boat from their factory in Apapa to Victoria Island.
Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Police command revealed that the three brothers had been rescued.
He said the three brothers were rescued last night in Orugbo Iddo by men of the Marine Police.
He said: “Yes five of them were rescued. Three Lebanese, the boat captain and his assistant.
“They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo. Our Marine Police, with the support of the Nigerian Navy, brought them to shore.
“Thereafter, our tactical team in the area took them home on Banana Island in the early hours of today.”
