Concerns as Tinubu falls during presidential parade at Eagle Square

Echoes of the 2023 presidential election campaigns resounded on Wednesday as President Bola Tinubu tripped and fell on while attempting to mount the parade vehicle during the Democracy Day celebration at the Eagle Square in Abuja.

Footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media, with netizens expressing concern, although the video has been deleted by major mainstream media.

Daily Review Online gathered that the President had approached the vehicle shortly after he arrived at the Eagles Square, Abuja venue of the June 12 commemoration.

He lost his footing momentarily as he was about embark on the parade vehicle. He was however immediately assisted by his aides after the incident, has since resumed duties at the ongoing ceremony.

Reacting to the incident, the Presidency described it as a ‘mild misstep.’
Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a post on his X handle stated: “Mr. President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues.”
