Kogi State Govt To Release N1bn For Kabba University Takeoff

The Kogi state government has concluded plan for release of one billion naira this month for projects execution at the newly established Kogi State University, Kabba.

Governor Yahaya Bello disclosed this at the Government House, Lokoja while addressing Executives and members of the Kabba Development Union who paid him a courtesy visit.

Governor Bello reassured the people that measures were being put in place to commence academic activities in the institution soon.

He emphasized that the establishment of the University was in response to aspirations of people of Okunland.

The Kogi state Governor also announced that the site for the relocation of College Of Education, Technical in Mopa would be renovated.

Governor Bello stated that he had continuously demonstrated political will in making impactful decisions and initiated transformational projects that have put the state on the front burner of development.

In his remarks, National President, Kabba Development Union, Emmanuel Ajibero explained that the group comprising various socio cultura groups were committed towards ensuring that the University takes off.

He acknowledged that some committees had been set to work with the state Government in Kickstarting the institution.

The KDU President appealed to the Governor to also consider sons and daughters of the catchment areas for employment.
