Christians worldwide have been enjoined to rejoice as the Easter celebrations set the mood for this year’s edition of the May 7 World Praise Day, coming up on Sunday, May 7,2023.
In a statement issued in Lagos yesterday by the Convener of the event, Deacon Banjo Omole, the organizers said the celebrations of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which Easter is all about, has set the stage for the global praise event.
Omole urged christians to see the resurrection as a valid reason to praise God on May 7 and everyday. ‘The significance of the May 7 World Praise Day is underscored by the mercy and the love of God,whereby whilst we were yet sinners, Jesus died for us’.
He said, the Victory Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG,his parish, on Iju Road, Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, Lagos, would still spearhead this year’s event, like it did last year.
‘We expect other christians worldwide to key into the vision and join the May 7 World Praise Day,by getting involved wherever they might be on that day.
Deacon Omole said, the bottom line is, wherever you are on May 7, just praise God in your little space, even if you happen not to be in church’.
However,he noted that God has so ordained it that this year’s edition of May 7 World Praise Day falls on a Sunday, which makes it easier for all church going believers to participate in it.
