A Premier League football star suffered a serious groin injury during ‘hard and vociferous sex’ with his partner, a surgeon has revealed.
The star was sent to Professor Aali Sheen, 51, from South London, by his club doctor. He had to have keyhole surgery.
The footballer did not want to tell his manager what had happened. The 51-year-old said he was better again in four weeks.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday he said: ‘He had serious pain in his groin and he told me he’d been having hard and vociferous sex with his partner.
‘He was graphic about what happened and even showed me the position he suffered it in, which was unusual but helpful.’
Professor Sheen said that groin injuries come about from twisting and turning.
However, he added that sometimes they can happen in unusual circumstances.
The surgeon, who has a book out called The Painted Surgeon in which he shares other stories, also revealed another interesting injury he dealt with.
The injury regarded another footballer who needed surgery after they suffered with a coughing and sneezing bout.
The 51-year-old, who is known as the Herniator because of his expertise, has helped 3,000 sporting stars.
His famous clients often include sporting aces from Liverpool and Chelsea football club.
