A frontliner strategic support group of Yahaya Bello Presidency, YouthWinNigeria, has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) of Kogi as the party’s flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election.
The group’s Founder, Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi, made the call in statement made available to journalists in Lokoja yesterday.
According to him, the emergence of Yahaya Bello as APC candidate in the upcoming presidential primary election would ensure seemless victory for the ruling party in the 2023 presidential election.
Onyekehi noted that the group, which has its structures and Coordinators across the 36 States of the federation including FCT, have been mobilising Nigerians strategically to massively vote for Yahaya Bello come 2023.
”If you truly love Nigeria, give us Yahaya Bello as the candidate of All Progressives Congress, and victory will be assured for our great party come 2023.
”Yahaya Bello is highly revered and loved by Nigerian youths and women due to his unmatchable and uncommon achievements in women and youths development and leadership, unity of the people, security, Healthcare development, infrastructures, education, and in all other sectors of the economy.
”Yahaya bello candidacy will defeat atiku with landslide victory across all the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria,” he said.
Onyekehi, who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects and State Focal Person, National Social Investment Programme, stressed that GYB achievements in Kogi if applied at the centre, would perfectly address Nigeria aged long problems especially the insecurity and disunity.
According to him, the greatest of his achievements is unity of the people of Kogi State that once terribly divided on tribal line due to injustice and marginalization.
He emphasised that GYB had done excellently well in the areas of equity and fairness, security, healthcare, education, modern infrastructures, rural development, transparency and accountability, youth and women in leadership, and given due recognition to the people living with disabilities.
”The percentage of youth voting population in Nigeria is 56 per cent. The vast majority of youths and larger percentage of women voters in elections, have accepted Yahaya Bello’s popularity and are ready to cast their votes for him,” he said.
”We, therefore as a group, call on the leadership and delegates of our great party to vote massively for Yahaya Bello in the upcoming APC presidential primary election so that he can emerge as the party’s flag bearer for the 2023 general election.
