The Nigeria Police has arrested Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, of the ‘Ekwueme’ fame.
Osinachi’s husband is being accused of being responsible for her death after he allegedly kicked her on the chest.
Shortly after her death, allegations emerged on social media that she died of domestic violence.

There are allegations, which were later confirmed by late Osinachi’s older sister that the husband actually kicked her in the chest, which led to her being hospitalised.
Also, the FCT Police Command also confirmed that the husband is in their custody while investigation was ongoing.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrest of the late singer’s husband to journalists.
“He is now in our custody. The younger brother of the deceased reported the matter and we have commenced investigation,” the FCT PPRO stated.
Meanwhile, gospel artiste, Edwin Alex, has claimed that Osinachi allegedly died of throat cancer, but another singer, Frank Edwards, put up an insinuating post that ‘an unreasonable human’ caused the death of the singer.
Following the controversy over her death, the President of the Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria, Asu Ekiye, called for the immediate arrest of her husband to ensure proper investigation into the touchy issue.
The gospel singers and ministers across Nigeria have also urged Nigerians to await the outcome of the autopsy on the late gospel artiste, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Ekiye, a popular award-winning gospel artiste, urged FOGGMON members to refrain from making further comments on the death of Osinachi which has become controversial until investigation is concluded with an autopsy report.
He urged the gospel artistes to conduct themselves in a manner that would not subvert the investigation.
Osinachi, 42, who died on Friday at an Abuja hospital, was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Church.
