According to Public Relations Unit headed by Omeza Balogun, CUSTECH came into existence in 2020 and started the 2020/2021 Academic Session after, Alh. Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State, saw the dire need to help students of Kogi State extraction, who were always stranded with the issue of gaining admission, and same time not having the privilege to pursue their desired choice of courses from other universities outside the state.
CUSTECH started with eleven 11 programmes namely: Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Physics.
The addition of the newly approved eight courses by the NUC gives a total of nineteen 19 programmes that CUSTECH will be running in the next academic calendar.
The proposed Academic Calendar for the 2021/2022 Session is due to commence from Monday 11th April 2022.
Fresh students interested in any of the 19 programmes can now apply to be admitted to the institution.
