Former Man United striker Odion Ighalo is excited to be back in Super Eagles squad, after leaving the team three years ago.
Ighalo arrived the Super Eagles camp in Morroco from his base in Saudi Arabia on Thursday afternoon.
The 32-year-old retired from the national team after the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, but agreed to come out of retirement to help the team.
Speaking on his return, Ighalo said, he’s delighted to be back again and can’t wait to reunite with his teammates.
“I’m happy to be back, it’s been long. Almost two years plus and it’s good to see some of the guys.”
“I’ve seen Ekong, he’s my strong man and hopefully, I will see other guys soon.” He told Super Eagles media.
Ighalo is expected to be in action when Super Eagles take on Liberia and Cape Verde in FIFA World Cup qualifying game on Saturday and Wednesday respectively.
