The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello yesterday, sworn in the newly appointed Acting President, Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Siyaka Momoh Jimoh Usman.
The new appointment Followed the retirement of Hon. Justice John Bayo Olowosegun who was the former President, Customary Court of Appeal.
The ceremony was performed by the State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja on behalf of his boss at the Banquet Hall of Governmet House, Lokoja yesterday.
The Governor called on the Acting President to build on the achievements of his predecessors and lay a lasting legacy for the Judiciary.
The Governor also charged the new Judge to strive to live above board in the dispensation of justice.
Bello warned judicial officers to shun corruption in course of discharging their constitutional duties as anyone found wanting would be sanctioned in accordance with the laid down law.
He reiterated government’s desire to continue to obey the rule of law under his administration.
The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade administered the oath of Office on the new Acting President, Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal.
