Worried by infrastructural decays in some secondary schools within his constituency, Hon Rabiu Alfa Momoh representing Ankpa 2 in the Kogi State House of Assembly took pains to construct science laboratory, library and staff room complexes for Government Secondary school Enabo and Ojoku Community Secondary.
The Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello, Jamiu Asuku represented by the Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Engr Bashir Gegu while commissioning the projects on Wednesday, urged other lawmakers to emulate the good gesture of their colleague.
According to COS, despite paucity of funds which is a general problem in the country, Hon Rabiu Alfa Momoh deserved a big commendation for his contribution towards the development of the education sector within his constituency.
Political appointees from Ankpa zone comprising of deputy speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ahmed Mohammed, commissioner for youths and sports, Alhaji Isah Abdullahi, Chairman Ankpa LGA, Ibrahim Abagwu, Rector Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr Usman Ogbo and Chairman Board of governing council of the schools, Alh Farouk Yahaya in their separate speeches during the commissioning, showered encomiums on Hon Rabiu Alfa Momoh for his effective representation at the State Assembly.
Earlier, Hon Rabiu Alfa Momoh had praised the Ruling All Progressives Congress in Kogi for living up to expectation in the provision of democracy dividends to the people, urging spirited individuals not to relent in completing government’s efforts.
He stressed that he was moved by the zeal of the children to have a place of learning that could bring out the best of them.
