Jose Mourinho may have been sacked by Tottenham this week, but he is already being linked with other jobs.
The Portuguese head coach saw his time in north London come to an end on Monday as Spurs confirmed the decision to part company with him and his staff after 17 months in charge.
The decision was made with Spurs sitting seventh in the Premier League – although they have since moved up to sixth – and only six days before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.
But while Mourinho has only just found himself out of work, already the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager has been linked with other positions.
That includes Scottish side Celtic, who are searching for a permanent successor to Neil Lennon, who left in February after a disappointing season domestically and in Europe.
According to the Scottish Sun, Mourinho was previously linked with a move to Celtic before Brendan Rodgers was appointed, although former Rangers star Kris Boyd has suggested that the Portuguese would probably only consider a move to the Ibrox side, were he to contemplate moving north of the border.
Mourinho has also been linked with a move abroad, with Porto and Juventus among the clubs suggested as a potential next destination for him, while he has also been touted as a potential future Portugal boss and former Barcelona star Rivaldo has claimed a move to Brazil could suit him.
Wherever Mourinho ends up next, he himself has hinted that he won’t be out of the game for long.
Posting a video on Instagram of the scene outside his house after he was sacked, the experienced boss said a few words to the camera following his exit.
“They don’t give me privacy, even my friend Gary (Cotterill) is disturbing me. That’s my life,” said Mourinho.

When pressed by Sky Sports about his dismissal, he said: “No, no, thank you so much. No plans to speak, you know me, you know that I’m not going to say anything.
“No need for a break. I’m always in football.”
Perhaps the Special One will be back in the game sooner rather than later.
