Some Policemen on election duty are reported missing after a boat capsized in Bayelsa State.
They were traveling from Yenagoa to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw Council Area where they will be deployed to Polling Units in other communities when the tragedy occurred.
The Bayelsa Police Command has confirmed the fatal incident.
Earlier, Governor Douye Diri expressed confidence that the quality of the candidates of his political party will come out victorious at the end of the exercise.
The Governor made the assertion after casting his vote at about 10am in his country home in Sampou, Kolokuma/Opokuma council area.
Governor Diri also expressed satisfaction in the electoral process as being smooth and peaceful.
