It is another day of bloodshed and morning as 27 school children and some of their teachers died today (Thursday) ghastly motor accident.
Daily Review Online gathered that a truck rammed into the vehicle conveying pupils and teachers of Presentation Nursery/Primary School, Agwu in Enugu State to school. The dead and the injured have been taken to the mortuary and the hospital. The school is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Agwu Enugu State. An indigene of Agwu, Mr. Charles Obasi, a journalist and advert practitioner confirmed this on his timeline.
The (Roman Catholic) Diocese of Awgu (Dioecesis Auguensis) in Nigeria was created on July 5, 2005, when it was split off from the Diocese of Enugu. It is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Onitsha.
The Diocese covers an area of 1,310 km² of the Enugu State, covering the local government areas: Awgu, Agbogugu, Inyi, Ndeabor, Nnenwe, Owelli and Oji Rivers. Neighboring dioceses are Enugu to the north, Abakaliki to the east, Umuahia to the south and Awka to the west.
