Ibadan-based Afropop musician, has urged upcoming artistes not to ever give up on their ambition.
Sadeblaq told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan that what upcoming artistes need is the belief in God, hard work and versatility.
“Women have to put in extra work and do good stuff to be heard. No female should ever sell their body, they can never go far with that,” she said.
She added that it had not been easy being a female in a male-dominated genre of music.
“ It has not been easy at all because men are naturally domineering and a woman has to put in extra work to be heard in this industry
“Women in this field are being supportive of one another, its not bad at all among us.
“We always try to support each other and I try as much as possible to have at least one woman on any of my programmes,” she said.
She, however, recalled that it was hard for her initially, adding that it takes a lot to be accepted generally.
“It was rough in the beginning, but it has gotten better and people have started enjoying and accepting my music.
“ Challenges are very normal in every area of life and they make one stronger and better, only f you choose not to give up,” Sadeblaq said .
