After months of wide consultations and brain storming sessions, the board and editors of leading and reliable daily online newspaper, DAYLIGHT (www.daylight.ng) have finally chosen Sunday, May 22, for the maiden edition of its Daylight Annual Leadership Awards (DALA) 2016.
The historic and high-octane awards ceremony holds amid glitz and glamour at the prestigious Civic Centre, situated on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a statement issued today by DAYLIGHT Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Azuh Amatus, who is also the Founder and Chairman of Daylight Annual Leadership Awards (DALA), the aim of the awards is to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in leadership positions, among Nigerians who have excelled tremendously in various leadership responsibilities.
“This year, the board and editors of DAYLIGHT Newspaper in collaboration with our awards committee have carefully selected 15 outstanding Nigerians who have excelled immensely in their various leadership positions, from a pool of over 100 names, for this revered recognition and well deserved honour.”
Shedding more light, Azuh who hails from Azia, Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, added that DALA is basically an appreciation of the awardees giant contributions and unmatched developmental strides to our country, Nigeria.
