The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has promoted 442 Marshal Inspectors in line with the commitment of the commission to reward efficiency and punish indiscipline in the Service.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Bisi Kazeem, Head, Media Relations and Strategy, FRSC and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
According to Kazeem, the commission promoted 442 personnel within the ranks of Deputy Chief Inspector and Marshal Inspector III.
“At the end of the last promotion exercise, 38 Deputy Chief Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Chief Inspector, while 80 Assistant Chief Inspectors got promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief Inspector.
“Also, 66 Principal Marshal Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief Inspector, while 77 Senior Marshal Inspectors moved to Principal Marshal Inspectors,” he said.
Kazeem added that 85 Marshal Inspectors I were promoted to the rank of Senior Marshal Inspector, while 82 Marshal Inspectors II were promoted to Marshal Inspectors I.
According to Kazeem, 14 Marshal Inspectors III were promoted to Marshal Inspectors II.
Kazeem added that Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal of the commission, urged the officers on efficiency and dedication to duty at all time.
NAN recalls that the Presidency recently approved the promotion of over 900 officers below the rank of Corps Commanders, to boost the morale of the FRSC personnel.
