At least 28 persons died and 96 injured in Friday’s explosion at Jambutu Mosque during Juma’at prayer.
Injured victims were evacuated to Federal Medical Centre, Yola and Specialist Hospital Jimeta , Adamawa state.
It was gathered that the mosque was newly repainted and the explosion occurred at the perimeter of the crowded mosque.
A health worker confirmed that staff of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) deposited at least 20 corpses in the mortuary while over 70 injured victims are being treated in the hospitals.

Rescue workers have started evacuating corpses and wounded victims to the Federal Medical Centre, Yola in several pick up trucks.
Spokesman of hospital, Adamu Dodo said the hospital had received several victims in critical conditions appealing for blood donation from members of the public.
