West Brom striker Brown Ideye was greeted by the flashing of photographer’s cameras as he arrived in Greece after completing his move to reigning champions Olympiacos.
The Baggies signed the Nigerian striker from Dynamo Kiev for a club record £10million last summer but decided to cut their losses after a return of only seven goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.
The deal for the 26-year-old was finalised in time for him to be registered for the Champions League campaign.
Ideye is set to make a swift return to England as Olympiacos tackle Arsenal in the group stages.
The Nigeria international joined had been set to sign for Qatar-based club Al-Gharafa on the final day of the January transfer window, only for the deal to fall through.
Ideye then netted four times in his next three appearances for the club.
But his only appearance this season was in last week’s Capital One Cup clash with Port Vale, when he was substituted after 57 minutes.
