Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday staked N7.92 billion on 1.16 billion shares in 6,534 deals.
This was against 557.14 million shares worth N6.89 billion traded in 6,377 deals on Thursday.
The financial services sector remained the toast of investors with Equity Assurance emerging the most traded equity, accounting for 417.29 million shares valued at N208.65 million.
Transcorp trailed with 324.22 million shares worth N1.91 billion, while Oando accounted for 62.35 million shares valued at N993.84 million.
ETI sold 48.08 million shares worth N676.95 million, while Unity Bank traded 47.04 million shares valued at N32.46 million.
Also, the market indices rose further by 0.32 per cent as a result of gains posted by some blue chips.
The All-Share Index rose by 126.15 basis points or 0.32 per cent to close at 39,246.03 against 39,119.88 recorded on Thursday.
The market capitalisation, which opened at N12.512 trillion, grew by N40 billion or 0.32 per cent to close at N12.552 trillion.
Guinness led the gainers’ chart, appreciating by N9.99 to close at N259.99 per share.
Mobil followed with a gain of N1.97 to close at N116, while Okomu Oil rose by N1.39 to close at N43.39 per cent.
Nigerian Breweries rose by N1.35 to close at N170.35, while National Salt gained 80k to close at N13.57 per share.
Conversely, Total recorded the highest price loss, dropping N7.75 to close at N160.10 per share.
Flour Mills lost N2.45 to close at N84.05, while Presco lost N1.10 to close at N35 per share, while Dangote Cement dipped by N1 to close at N195 per share.
Conoil declined by 97k to close at N67.93 per share.
