Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Stella Oduah is not the owner of four limousine cars, but that they belong to Edward Bouyo owner of land over Aviation Company which handles general aviation services at the airport, National Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has said.
This was as the National Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) informed the Senate Committee on Aviation that no airport is fully certified by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)in Nigeria.
NCAA and NAMA appeared before the Senate Committee on Aviation to shed more lights on purchase of cars for the Minister of Aviation and also Associated Airline aircraft which crashed on 3 October in Lagos.
Director General of NCAA Fola Akinkuotu, said he was not privy to the purchase of the car but has been relying on information given to him.
The committee however gave the Director General of NCAA till Thursday this week to disclose all information concerning the purchase. He said that though he is the Director General, but he was not directly responsible for the purchase.
He said the letter sent to him by the committee did not prepare NCAA for the amoured cars and as such, do not have any answers to that effect.
On Purchase of Four stretch limousine, NAMA Informed the committee that they are owned by Edward Bouyo owner of land over Aviation Company which handles general aviation service at the airport.
Director General of NAMA, Engr. Nnamdi Udoh said Oduah has nothing to do with purchase of those limousines which were parked at the headquarters of the Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria (TRACON) grounds in Abuja.
