The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has condemned the recent increase in the pump price of fuel by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).
The new NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe said a situation where the d pump price rose sharply from M per litre of fuel to N900 was unacceptable.
Osigwe regretted in a statement issued on Thursday, September 5, that this significant and abrupt hike has imposed an unbearable burden on the already overstretched finances of ordinary Nigerians, further aggravating the economic challenges faced by millions across the country.
