Veteran showbiz journalist, Ifechi Okoh is dead.
Although details of his death is still sketchy, Daily Review Online gathered that he died yesterday in Lagos.
Okoh has been having some health challenges for sometime, particularly suffering from cataract
Recently, one of his colleagues, Mike Cerutti Osagie, launched an appeal for fund to enable him receive proper treatment.
He wrote: “Veteran showbiz journalist per excellence and hugely regarded as one of the best hands in his field, the symbolic Ifechi Okoh will be going for critical eyes operation this month and needs your prayers and help financially
“The man who is one of my best media ally and confidant ( I call him Mr reliable ) has been struggling with eyes problems ( cataracts) for a while now and all his life savings almost gone
“Cerutti humanitarian World is seeking support for him and we will be sending out his full medical Story shortly/ bank account details
“Please let’s collectively safe Okoh now before it’s too late.”
Popularly known as Bahama grass, he was a former staff of Punch, Champion Newspapers and Daily Independent among others.
