President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have paid glowing tribute to Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on the occasion of his 84th birthday.

In a State House press statement issued on Sunday, the President and the First Lady described Pastor Adeboye as “one of our nation’s greatest gifts” and a “spiritual fortress,” commending his longstanding intercessory prayers for Nigeria and its people.

The presidential couple praised the revered cleric’s humility and depth of wisdom, noting that his influence extends beyond the pulpit into philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment initiatives that have impacted millions within and outside the country.

They celebrated what they termed the “grace of stewardship and leadership” upon the life of the cleric, fondly called Daddy G.O., as he marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026.

President Tinubu and his wife also congratulated Pastor Adeboye’s wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG, and the broader Christian community, expressing gratitude to God for what they described as an exceptional life of service that transcends cultures and borders.

The statement further acknowledged the renowned preacher’s unique leadership role over the past five decades, saying his teachings have continued to shape and transform lives across generations.

The President commended Pastor Adeboye’s patriotic zeal, manifest determination, and commitment to Nigeria’s progress, while offering prayers for his continued good health and strength as he carries on his work in the Lord’s vineyard.
