I understand the pessimism of most young Nigerians who have been witnesses of the horrendous failure in Governance particularly of the past 20 years. We were not that cynical in our younger days, we were inspired by the achievements of our Nationalist leaders who grew the Nigeria Economy to be at par with Thailand and a step ahead of Malaysia.
Nigeria manufactured some vaccines in Yaba Vaccine Center, and our universities were one of the very best in the world.
When the rot gradually set in with Military in politics, yours truly and a host of comrades confronted the military rulers. We risked our lives and careers. I spent sometime in detention in Solitary confinement, and confronted Armored Personnel carriers on the street more than three times protesting. Thankfully we achieved democracy in 1999 even as we continued to fight many years after we left university for Good Governance.
When I say we are set to bring Restoration, I am not talking Atiku talk or speaking as another Obi. I speak as one with a long history of struggle for GOOD CAUSES, not just another politician.
I have never touched Government money before, yet God has helped me build institutions whose balance sheets are bigger than some State Governments turnover.
Our next move will end bad Governance in Nigeria by the Grace of God.
Don’t be intimidated by the money and power at the disposal of our today’s oppressors, we have defeated more brutal Military dictators with more money and force at their disposal before. God who gave us victory in the past is still on the throne.
Hashim in Arabic means “Crusher Of Evil”. And this present evil tormenting Nigeria shall also be crushed by the Grace of God!
