Police and local security operatives in Enugu State have uncovered a disturbing scene during a raid on a building under construction, allegedly used for ritual activities by a self-proclaimed prophet.

Led by the Divisional Police Officer of Igbo-Eze South, the security team stormed a site at Abile Hill, Isi-Agu in Ibagwa-Aka, where they recovered a human skull and other suspected ritual objects. The building, called a “Synagogue,” belongs to Prophet Chinedu Solomon Ezedike, who is linked to the recent gruesome murder of four young siblings in the area.

The tragic killings had earlier sparked outrage across Enugu State, prompting swift action by the government. Following the incident, the original site tied to the murders was demolished. As investigations deepened, authorities extended their search to other locations connected to Ezedike.

Confirming the latest development, Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Barr. Ferdinand Ukwueze, shared details on Facebook, stating that the site was being used under the guise of religious activity but revealed evidence suggesting ritualistic practices.

“Two days ago, while acting on intelligence, I visited a suspicious site alongside the DPO and other security agents. To our dismay, a human skull and ritual staff were found at the location,” Ukwueze wrote. “This discovery reinforces the grave allegations against Prophet Ezedike. The items have been handed over to the Police for further investigation.”

He vowed that the search for such criminal hideouts would continue as the government intensifies efforts to rid the state of criminal activity.

“This administration, under the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, is determined to ensure that Enugu State is safe and that no criminal finds refuge here,” Ukwueze added.

He expressed gratitude to the Police, DSS, Military, Neighbourhood Watch, Forest Guards, and residents who have been instrumental in providing intelligence and support.

Earlier, Ukwueze also confirmed the demolition of another structure belonging to Ezedike, declaring that Igbo-Eze South will no longer be a safe haven for crime and impunity.
