The Ogun State Police have launched a search for a woman linked to the death of Inspector Haruna Mohammed, who was found dead at a hotel in Oyeyemi Akute, Ogun State.
The inspector, serving with the Ishashi Division of the Lagos State Police Command, checked into the hotel with the alleged lover around 1:00 am on Saturday. His lifeless body was discovered later that morning under mysterious circumstances.

The woman reportedly left the hotel after requesting tap water at 6:00 am. Police have classified the incident as “unnatural” and are investigating further. Mohammed’s identity was initially difficult to confirm, as no identification was found on him. However, further investigation revealed he was a police officer.

This incident follows a similar case in January, where Inspector Lawal Ibrahim was found dead in a hotel after a sexual encounter with a woman he met online.

However, after the second round, Abba noticed that Ibrahim’s breathing became erratic, and he stopped responding. In an attempt to revive him, she sprinkled water on him, but there was no reaction. She then raised the alarm and alerted the hotel manager, Danlami Palasa, who immediately contacted the police.

Abba was subsequently arrested, while the FCT police have remained silent on the incident.
