Donald Trump and JD Vance have been sworn in as president and vice president of the United States, in an inauguration ceremony Monday inside the Rotunda of the US Capitol building in Washington, DC.

“The golden age of America begins right now,” he says to the first of many rounds of applause.
“I will simply, put America first.”
“Every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America,” the message on the front page continues, along with a picture of Trump pointing.
Pastor Franklin Graham, who is the president of the charity Samaritan’s Purse, offered a prayer for President Trump.
“The last four years there are times I’m sure it was pretty dark, but look what God has done,” Graham began. “We praise him and give him glory.”
“We ask you that you would bless him and that our nation would be blessed through him,” he said, going on to offer blessings for incoming first lady Melania Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife, second lady Usha Vance.
“We take this moment to stand still, to remember the great things that you have done for this nation,” Graham went on. “Thank you for the protection, the bounty, the freedoms that we so enjoy.”
“We know that America can never be great again if we turn our backs on you,” he added.
“I, Donald John Trump, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
