Delta Governor, Chief Sheriff Oborevweri, has dismissed Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, the state’s Information Commissioner. The reason for Osuoza’s dismissal has not been immediately clarified.

Dr. Fred Latimor Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, confirmed that Osuoza has been informed about the situation.

A source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that Governor Oborevweri has appointed Charles Aniagwu, the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), to temporarily oversee the Ministry of Information. Oghenesivbe also stated that an official announcement will be made by the Governor, but for now, Aniagwu will manage both the Ministries of Works and Information.

It is expected that Aniagwu will assume his new responsibilities on Monday.

Sources suggest that Osuoza’s removal followed complaints about his alleged incompetence. Aniagwu had previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information during former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
