Killers of Retired Army General in Abuja arrested

The FCT Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the killing of Brigadier General Uwem Udukwere (Retd) at Sunshine Estate in Abuja.

FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, stated that two other robbers, who are now at large, escaped with the retired general’s pistol. He declared them wanted and vowed to apprehend them.

According to the police, “Operatives from the Utako Division, led by CCP Victor Godfrey, arrested four suspects at Kabusa and Pigbakasa in Apo, FCT, Abuja, for the robbery and murder of retired Brigadier General Uwem Harold (Retd) N/5575 15th Regular course at his home, No. 9 Sanga Street, Sunshine Homes, by Kabusa Junction Lokogoma, FCT, Abuja.”

The suspects are: Ibrahim Rabiu, 33, from Dala Local Government Area of Kano state, residing at Rasha Apo Roundabout; Nafiu Jamil, 33, from Tofa Local Government Area of Kano state, residing at Apo Pantekar; Aliyu Abdullahi, 47, from Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara state, residing at Apo Roundabout, Abuja and Mohammed Nuhu, 28, from Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano state, residing at Apo Primary School.
