Sex scandal is currently rocking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the Minister Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has sent a formal complaint to the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, urging action against the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Ibrahim Adamu Lamuwa, for allegedly sexually harassing a married female staff member, Mrs. Simisola Fajemirokun.
In the letter, signed by Ambassador Tuggar, he states: “I am compelled to inform you of a formal complaint against the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ibrahim Adamu Lamuwa, regarding allegations of sexual harassment.
“Given the severity of the situation, I believe it is essential to bring this to your attention and request that appropriate measures be taken.
“Please find attached a copy of the complaint I received via email. I am also available to provide any assistance necessary to support your handling of this matter.”
When asked about the issue, the Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy to the Foreign Affairs Minister, Alkassim Abdulkadir, confirmed the allegations by simply stating, “It’s true.”
