Famed Nigerian singer, Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, more commonly acknowledged as KC Limpopo, has candidly addressed accusations regarding his purported neglect and exploitation of a budding prodigy, Ojazzy Igbonile, in connection with his acclaimed track titled “Ojapiano.”

Amidst a flurry of reports, word spread that the singer, a proud native of Anambra, had used and subsequently cast aside the gentleman in question.

However, in a recent tête-à-tête with BBC Igbo, KC passionately debunked the notion, affirming that the accusation of him abandoning the budding talent holds no semblance of truth.

The singer explained that he brought the young boy from the eastern region to a recording studio in Lagos. He did this because he was impressed by the boy’s performance at a show.

Kcee clarified that he not only paid the boy the amount he asked for but even gave him more.

He said: “I am deeply saddened by the way our Igbo people spread false news that I did not help the boy. It is not true,” KC said.

“I saw the boy selling goods, called him, flew him to Lagos from the east, took him to the studio, paid him more than what I agreed with him, dressed him, called him wander around different places in Lagos. How did I do it wrong?”
