A non Governmental Organization (NGO), Challenged Parenthood Initiative (CPI), has made a solemn pledge to stand by the physically challenged in the society.
CPI Executive Director, Agbogun Eunice made the pledge yesterday while playing host to a physical challenged graduate, from Adavi council area of Kogi state.
Eunice also urged those living with any form of disabilities to see beyond their physical challenges and make themselves useful to the society.
She said they are unique and should see strength in their disability, stressing that the physically challenged has a special place in her heart.
She called on the society to embrace the physically challenged persons and not discriminate against them.
She said all they require is care, support and opportunity to live a fulfilled and productive life just like any other persons.
She likewise called on the state government Tina cord the physically challenged their rightful place.
Also speaking, the Kogi State Chairman, PLWDs Ibrahim Arome urged people with disability not to hide themselves but come out and fulfilled their destiny.
Arome urged people with disability to embraced the PLWD community, registered with them; as they are poised to help each other harnessed their potentials.
He said they are commitment to enable people with deformity to attain their God-given potentials; said physically challenged people can still walk through life with hope.
