As part of its corporate social responsibility, BN Ceramics has donated a motorized borehole for Ajaokuta native town in Ajaokuta council area of Kogi State to boost potable water supply in the host community.
The Human Resources Manager, (HRM) Mallam. Saliu Aso Momoh at the inauguration and handing over of the borehole to the community pledged to support the development and empowerment of communities in the area.
Mallam Momoh noted that the company was trying to build up innovation and relationship to be close to the community by attending to the needs of the community.
According to him, one good thing about the inauguration of the borehole was the provision of clean water to the community, adding that the sinking of the borehole symbolises a great partnership with the community.
“We want to demonstrate that BN Ceramics is a good corporates citizen. Drinking water is a fundamental human right of any citizen. Hence, we will be committed to the monitoring of the project to keep the water running.
We have always been a very socially-responsible organisation and we have been engaging with our host communities.
‘’In Ajaokuta we have done many things as our corporate social responsibilities in the area of health care and security. So, this project is just one of them. We will also continue to work with many other communities around this area.
Youths in the community praised the company for its support to the cause of attending to the needs of the community, describing the company as a greatest financier, supporter and source of inspiration because of its passion and concern for rural areas.
