Manchester United have made a move for Cristiano Ronaldo with an offer of £100m pounds.
The Portugal international hinted that he could leave the Bernabeu in the aftermath of Real’s Champions League triumph over Liverpool.
And according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, his agent Jorge Mendes is now ready to bring him back to Old Trafford.
United boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on the 32-year-old forward as he looks to cut the gap on Premier League champions Manchester City.
But Mourinho could lose star striker Romelu Lukaku.
Diario Gol add that Real president Florentino Perez could look to land the Belgian forward as a bargaining chip.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are set to confirm the signing of Brazil star Fred tomorrow.
United confirmed earlier this month that they had reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign midfielder Fred this summer.
Despite that statement, issues over the 25-year-old’s work permit and personal terms have held up the official unveiling of the new Red Devils star.
Sky Sports now report that the breakthrough has been reached and the deal is set to go through imminently.
