Wednesday night was not a good night for Manchester United.
The Red Devils went down 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley following a disjointed display which saw them go a goal down to a Christian Eriksen strike after just 11 seconds. A calamitous own goal from Phil Jones then doubled Spurs’ advantage.
And a desperately poor United were unable to get back into the match, with Alexis Sanchez suffering a miserable Premier League debut for the club after arriving from Arsenal.

It wasn’t him that fans were looking to though, but rather Paul Pogba.
In a display which saw our friends at the Manchester Evening News award him a 2/10, Pogba was hauled off in the 63rd minute having turned in a poor display in a midfield two with Nemanja Matic.
And United fans see a tactical problem with the Frenchman.
Have they got a point?
Does Mourinho need to alter his approach to help Pogba?
