Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has congratulated the Elder Statesman, industrialist and philanthropist, Elder Emman Adaelu, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
The Governor also extended the warm greetings and goodwill of the government and people of Abia State to the Elder Statesman, describing him as a great inspiration to our generation and one of the remaining Romans of our time.
He observed that though Elder Adaelu is a self-made man, he has remained consistent in the pursuit of justice and the ideal society, investing his wealth and resources to the struggle of his people.
The Governor also noted that the Elder Statesman has been a man of astounding honour and integrity, a great asset to Abia state, a pillar of his people’s struggle and a symbol of Abia unity.
Quoting from one of Adaelu’s memorable rhymes, the Governor said If to covet honour is a crime, Elder Adaelu would have been “the most offensive soul alive”.
“We rejoice with you for such a great life well spent in the service of your people and country,” the Governor stated.
He further prayed for God’s abundant blessings to Elder Adaelu for good health and more prosperity, so that he will live to see more scores of years and the Abia of his dream.
