A group under the aegis of Mbieri Development Union, Abuja Branch, has lauded Gov. Okorocha’s developmental feat describing it as unequal.
Speaking during a courtesy call to the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere at his official residence, President General of the body, Sir Damian Onuoha, said they are grateful to Owelle Rochas Okorocha with the support of his able Deputy, Prince Eze Madumere with developmental strides within four years of their administration.
Onuoha, while felicitating with the Gov. Okorocha and his Deputy, Prince Madumere on behalf of the Mbieri Socio Cultural group, pledged even a greater support for the Rescue Mission Government’s second coming for it to succeed..
His words, “After many years of stagnancy in governance, Imo people are grateful for the five star performances of Our Governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha and our son, Prince Madumere. We as a people will mobilize our people to make our contribution as business men and entrepreneurs towards towards achieving Imo State of collective dream”.
The President General said their grand support is not unconnected to the precedent of trust and confidence so far established by Owelle Rochas Okorocha led government.
The group however appealed to the Rescue Mission government to do more in the area of infrastructure and Road rehabilitation and construction. The group through her President acknowledged the high level of decay due to long years of neglect by the previous administrations.
Addressing the people, the Patron of the Mbieri Development Union, Prince Marcon Nlemigbo, urged the group to stand solidly behind their illustrious son and the Deputy Governor of Imo State. He frowned at the high level of apathy amongst the people describing such as unpatriotic. He urged them to key in and queue behind Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Madumere.
In response, the Deputy Governor of Imo State , Prince Madumere thanked his people for the visit, which he described as a solidarity visit.
He charged the group to always take part in producing a leadership that will work with them and work for them. His words, “it is rather painful to see our people stand akimbo as though they do not know what to do during electioneering process to producing a leadership that will pilot the affairs of the State. It is better to always take part and have every right to ask of the system to intervene in the areas considered of paramount interest to your people”.
The Imo number two citizen told the people not to expect magic since Mbaitoli Local Government as a whole has been abandoned for many years. He assured them that it will take a gradual process bit assured them of completing all the projects already ongoing in Mbaitoli.
