A wonderfully gifted playmaker, Brazilian international Oscar has become something of an unglamorous workhorse under Jose Mourinho’s all-work-and-no-play Chelsea regime.
However, despite Oscar’s willingness to graft for the Blues’ cause, Jose Mourinho is now planning to offload the 23-year-old. Well, according to the Mirror, that is, who point to the Brazilian’s failure to finish a full 90 minutes since the end of January as a sign of Mourinho’s frustration with his flighty midfielder.
But while Oscar edges closer to the door at Stamford Bridge (with a long queue of suitors no doubt waiting outside – Juventus being the first in line), West Ham striker Enner Valencia is already being lined up to replace the Brazilian.
The 25-year-old Ecuador international has impressed the powers-that-be at Chelsea with his work-rate (key for Mourinho), fleet-footedness and versatility. After all, he has only bagged five goals this season with the Hammers.
However, Sam Allardyce and co. are said to be ‘defiant’about keeping all their stars.
