Ahead of the 2015 general elections, a former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, on Tuesday, denied nursing any plan to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP.)
He noted that he has always been in opposition since he joined politics and remains the bedrock of opposition in the state.
Audu who spoke in Abuja through the former director general of his governorship campaign organization and former House of Representatives member, Otunba Dino Melaye described the speculation of his plans to defect to the PDP as evil, satanic and laughable.
The former governor stated that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no issues in the state and remains one big family.
According to him, plans have been concluded to receive over 5000 PDP members into APC as prominent politicians have indicated interest to quit the ruling party.
He vowed that the opposition would form the next government in the state as politicians keep ditching the PDP on daily basis.
Audu described the administration of Captain Idris Wada as beautiful nonsense and one which has not performed up to expectation.
He promised that the next administration under APC would bring life to the state when voted into office.
The former governor disclosed that every structure of the party remains intact and active under him.
He advised persons who he described as less busy to desist from peddling lies against his person to score cheap publicity.
He said, “I have not defected and have no intention and reason to defect to PDP.”
