The market indices of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday dipped further by 0.02 per cent.
The All-Share Index lost 7.8 points or 0.02 per cent to close lower at 38,920.85 compared with 39,928.65 posted on Thursday.
The market capitalisation, which opened at N12.451 trillion, lost N3 billion or 0.02 per cent to close at N12.448 trillion.
A breakdown of the price movement showed that Okomu Oil led the losers’ chart with N2.10 to close at N42.40 per share.
Julius Berger lost N1.01 to close at N69, while Ashaka Cement lost 92k to close at N20.10 per share.
Transcorp dipped by 37k to close at N3.56, while Dangote Sugar lost 30k to close at N11 per share.
On the other hand, Forte Oil topped the gainers’ table with N5.27 to close at N114 per share.
Flour Mill garnered N4.16 to close at N89.20, while Total rose by N1.01 to close at N165.01 per share.
Champion Breweries gained 80k to close at N16.95, while Nigerian Breweries rose by 41k to close at N168.41 per share.
In all, investors exchanged 481.50 million shares worth N2.85 billion in 4,787 deals.
This was against 252.65 million shares valued at N2.58 billion traded in 4,717 deals on Thursday.
Transcorp emerged the most traded stock, accounting for 247.79 million shares worth N900.76 million.
Wapic Insurance came second with 46.23 million shares valued at N45.37 million, while Unity Bank sold 44.71 million shares worth N24.69 million.
IHS accounted for 18.72 million shares worth N49.79 million, while Zenith Bank traded 16.54 million shares valued at N352 million.
